A demand letter is a request for payment from a rights holder or their agent. It is a settlement request, not a court judgment.
In the US, statutory damages under 17 U.S.C. 504(c) range from $750 to $30,000 per work, up to $150,000 for willful infringement, and are available only for works registered in time (17 U.S.C. 412).
A PixGuard risk score is an estimate. A low score is not permission, and a high score is not a finding of infringement.

Built by someone who got tired of demand letters.
Some stock agencies and photographers use image-matching services to find copies of their photos online, and a match can end in a demand letter. Meanwhile it's easy to lose track of where a site's images came from. Stock photos get reused. Old contractors leave behind assets nobody has a license record for.
Reverse image search can find copies of one image, but it doesn't tell you which of your images to look at first. So I built PixGuard. It checks each image for copyright risk signals across up to 9 detection stages, depending on plan, and gives it a 0 to 100 risk score with the reasons behind it, so you can decide what to replace, license or keep.
